The Israeli Association of Chinese Medicine has set itself the goal of supporting patients who feel they have been treated inappropriately or harassed by a Chinese medicine practitioner.
This form is intended for reporting incidents in which a patient has experienced harassment by a practitioner during a Chinese medicine treatment — incidents that may be of a criminal nature. The form can be completed by the patient themselves or by a practitioner who has learned of the incident from the patient. If the person submitting the form is a practitioner, the patient’s consent must be obtained before including any identifying information about them. This consent must be submitted in writing, signed by the patient, and attached to this form. It can be phrased freely, as long as it is clear.
The information in this form is confidential and will be shared only with the Association’s Chairperson and the Head of the Association’s Ethics Committee. The Association will use the information to support the patient who has been harassed in submitting a complaint to the Israel Police, but only with the patient’s consent. In addition, if the Association receives multiple complaints about the same practitioner, it will, with the complainants’ consent, pass this information to the Israel Police. It is important to note that the Association serves as a support body for the complainant and is not an investigative or enforcement body in such cases.
